When does the Spring/Summer 2021 Season start and end?
All teams play from March until the end of July with the exception of Grassroots teams (5th-7th). Grassroots teams begin in March and most are done by the end of June.
How many days a week does a team practice?
Teams practice two times per week. Most practices are 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Most practices are between 6 pm and 9 pm during the week. The location of practices depends on the area that most of the kids live that are on that team.
Whats the difference in Travel, Competitive and Grassroots Teams?
Grassroots teams (5th-7th grades) play a local schedule from March til the end of June. Competitive Teams (8th-11th grade) play a local and regional schedule from March-July. Travel Teams (9th-11th) play a national schedule from March til July.
How many players are on a team?
A team is comprised of eight to ten players. The goal is to maximize the playing time for each player.
Are there scholarships or fundraisers available?
Although there is no scholarships and/or financial aid available for players, there are fundraising opportunities to help offset or even eliminate costs.
How much does it cost to play for DFW Elite?
An estimated cost structure is listed below. Cost does not include player travel expense, food and lodging.
