About DFW Elite Basketball

DFW Elite Traveling Basketball Team (DFW Elite) is a competitive girls basketball organization consisting of girls from the Dallas – Fort Worth metropolitan area and other cities throughout Texas . DFW Elite is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Our core principles are based in teamwork, academic achievement, developing a positive self-image, loyalty, unity, respect, good sportsmanship, and managing adversity. We believe in the pursuit of excellence in the development of the life skills of the young ladies in our organization as well as their athletic abilities. The DFW Elite organization strives to develop young female basketball players to their fullest potential, while teaching them to compete with courage, play fair, and to be leaders on and off the court. By pursuing excellence in sports, our young ladies develop a work ethic and maturity that will last a lifetime.

DFW Elite is one of the top girls basketball program in the nation. In 2011, DFW Elite won the two most prestigous tournaments on the circuit (Nike Nationals and Boo Williams), something that has not been done before. In addition to those two tournaments, DFW Elite also won the Basketball on the Bayou and was runner-up at the Big State Flava Jam and Nike Summer Showcase. In 2010, DFW Elite won every event it participated in except Nike Nationals, which we lost by 3 points in the championship game.

Marques Jackson (Founder of DFW Elite)Marques Jackson founded DFW Elite in 2004 after his daughter, Tiffany Jackson, complete her prep career. Coach Jackson devoted his life to providing a vehicle for young ladies to utilize their basketball skills to obtain a scholarship. His vision was to prove to America that Texas could compete with the best players in the nation. On Sunday, April 11th, 2010, Coach Jackson was called home to glory at the young age of 46.

Prior to his death, his program was one of the top programs in the nation and after his death, his program became even more powerful. His teams won more tournaments, his players obtained more scholarships, his legacy lives on.
